We held our first Food Drive from April 1st through the 15th. How it started was Brandi Larson with Professional Body Works announced their Food Drive on March 27th, so Ryan decided it was a great opportunity to not only challenge a fellow small business owner in a friendly competition, but also to help our community. The goal was to collect items to donate to the local Food Panty at The Helping Hand here in Indianola, with items being delivered just in time for Easter.

As the planning began, we decided to do an interoffice competition, on top of the public competition, to see who could get the most items added to their basket within that time frame. It was a fun, exciting way to add a push to help us try to beat Professional Body Works. One of our attorneys even added blue balloons to her basket, which meant she committed to donating $5.00 per item donated to her basket to a local Autism Support Group to raise awareness during Autism Awareness Month.

The Drive was a success and a lot of fun to be a part of. When the Drive started, Ryan raised the stakes a bit in the competition. Whichever small business collected the most items had to buy the loser pizza.

In the end, our office came up short to Professional Body Works. Our office collected an incredible number of items, 922. Professional Body Works collected over 1000 items! The interoffice competition was won by, you guessed it, Ryan!

Even though we came up short in our competition, it was a huge win for our community and Warren County!
